Hi Guru's, It's been a long time since my last post and I hope this finds everyone well. I read quite frequently but refrain from posting as I have not undergone testing yet. My question is this: I have recently been feeling very fatigued and unbalanced (HD unrelated not tested) so I went to the doc for a sinus infection. I was then refered to a ENT specialist. He tested my vision, inner eby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Thanks Steve and RJ, appreciate the help. I will read both to get a better understanding. I have not tested and am at risk. I have been a memeber here since 2007 but only log in once and a while. I try not to think about HD that often but now a days I have been growing more concerned as this issue hasn't cleared and forces me to adapt. Anyhow, thanks again for your suggestions. Hi Everyone, I have some questions as far as private Disability ins, LTD and LTC goes. I don't want to test until i have things sorted but needed to understand if I need LTD and LTC in addition to DI ? My main concern is I feel I am starting to exhibit softer signs and still have a year to wait in my "pre-exhisting" condition clause for DI and not sure if I should go and start theby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Good luck today... A person here once told me "you either have HD or you don't, the living at risk part is the hardest one to cope with day to day." Live strong, laugh and fight hard no matter what the result... We are here for you. rgds, LPby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hi Everyone its LP, I have been a member for a year and 1/2 and have been struggling with the terms of whether or not to test. Hi Everyone, its been a while since my last post. Hope this finds you warriors well and siezing the today. Neotine has shown out of stock for several weeks, does anyone know what happened or if it will be come available again ? I've emailed the site a couple times over the past 6 weeks but haven't heard anything. Question : what would be a good alternative to take instead of NEOTINE inby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hi AR, I am not a doctor but have actually tried this lemonade fast. Its not for the faint of heart and doesn't always yeild the promising results as described online. However, you definitely feel better at the end of it. Cleansing is useful to assist with removing the toxins over years of build up and acutually needs to be addressed carefully and staged. If you haven't tried this I would sby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I blend my neotine in a small smoothie with blueberries and walnuts for breakfast. Works well and you don't have the gritty taste. i aslo do the swirl in about 8oz of water with 2 teaspoons of trehlose when I don't have time to make the smoothie. What ever works and the important thing is that your ingesting it. rgds, LPby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hello and welcome, you will find alot of great people and resources here. You are a strong person for braving the testing and getting your result. Barb is right, its a journey... Keep positive, keep healthy and ask lots of questions =). I am 37 and have not chosen to test yet. I have no symptoms that I know of but am still reseaching my biological father and his family. Will, I am curious, what is your typical run or exercise program consist of ? How can one tell if by exercising they are increasing enough BDNF's to offset what is lost ? I know that diet, exercise and supplements have a great deal with the delicate balance for living positive but how would I know I am doing enough to offset things ? Hi Everyone, its been a while since my last post. I know HD surfaces in many ways but when does it become obvious to the person that something is wrong and not going away ? or more subtle ? I am at risk and have chosen not to test for the time being. I have been experiencing some balance issues which come and go. J, for whats its worth, I would put the testing on the back burner, get your personal insurance inorder and get a good long term plan in place. The best way to put it is, that this the biggest game of strategy and an ironman race of a lifetime you've embarked on. I would advise against discussing with any employer, insurance, medical etc. etc. Testing is a personal thing but would advise againstby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
J, Words of advice, please sort your insurance out first. Disability income insurance (DII), Short Term Dis (STD) and Long Term Dis ( LTD ) before you mention to your doctor or get tested. This way you can lay your plan out with a saftey net just incase.by lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center
That's great news JL!!! am very happy for you, it must be a tremendous relief and sense of comfort that the STD and LTD are working out for you. Now you can get shop with a custom cart if you desire =) all the best.. Lpby lpbp011 - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Hi Guys, I am doing some research for distant family members and figured this would be a great place to start as many people are connected thru the HD community here. I've always heard that HD potentially runs in the family but never gave it a second thought until a few months ago as I have been estranged since I was a young boy.
