Is this the same thing you were telling us about previously?by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Ok, Barb.... I can't believe you actually told all of us, but I'm so glad you did. I have to get this out really quick. So, please forgive me if someone already mentioned this. Did you see the movie "The Bucket List"? If not, watch it...one point that was made in the movie that every man over 50 should know (I think every woman should take note as well): 1 - Don't EVER pass a restby Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
What does this mean for Canadians? Anything?by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Has anyone ever heard of "Xocai"? Someone told me about it tonight. It is a chocolate that apparently has as many antioxidants as 3 cups of blueberries. Isn't it the antioxidants pHDs need from blueberries? Any information would be appreciated.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Just heard back from her this morning. Shirley is not her mom...sorry.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I just went on facebook and searched for "Tracy Lacombe" and found a young lady. Maybe 30ish. Blonde hair. Do you think this could be her? I can certainly send her a message if you would like Barb.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I would love to be able to offer some advise, however, I am from Canada so it won't help much. My understanding has always been that if it wasn't a pre-existing condition (meaning he knew about it before hand) than it was covered. Good luck and all my best.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Marsha, Am I wrong to ask why they can't try these type of treatments on people like my MIL. She is a vegetable (sorry everyone) and has no chance of recovery. What would something like this do for someone like her if it worked? Could she recover?by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Looks like 13 is going to be on the show! Yeah!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Bummer! I almost always watch this show. Last night, I started watching it and decided it was kind of boring so rolled over and fell asleep. I saw up to the point that the doctor working for House was having troubles that he noticed and thought "Oh, she's shaky. That could be HD." But then thought "Nah, HD was just on Private Practice. It won't be on another show this soonby Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Most insurance companies won't pay for it if they know that the purpose to for HD (at least in Canada) because it is not approved yet for it (at least that is my understanding).by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
db, we were well prepared for the storm. Doing hurricane Juan, we were living in Halifax so it was easy this time. We didn't even lose our power!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
My husband takes 10mg and he weighs over 200lbs. He is only early stages and doesn't see much of a difference.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I'm with most of you though...the only thing that disappointed me was no information about PGD. Maybe next week they will have them on again and discuss it.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Does anyone watch this show? If you don't and you are able to watch it tonight, please do. A young woman on the show wants to have a baby, but is scared to tell her husband that HD runs in her family. She tests on the show. It is great to see more shows with HD being mentioned!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Pat, I don't know them, but you might want to try this website to search for them. www.canada411.com Hope it helps!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
You reminded me of a few years ago when my phd was told by doctors that he had a major kidney infection. He didn't want to receive treatment for it. He said "I might as well die for this kidney infection now than suffer from HD for the rest of my life." In the end, the test results had been incorrect, but if they weren't he would never have gone for treatment. Unlike your son, he isby Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Trudi, Is your problem sleeping through the alarm (meaning that you don't hear it at all) or it the problem that you hear the alarm and don't get up? Thr first one is my husband's problem. He doesn't even hear alarms that go off, no matter how loud!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Thanks...guess I'm still hoping for that miracle morning when I hear the news!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Eric, you just made me feel young again!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I have been reading all the updates on the HDAC Home Page. Should I really be excited? What time frame are we looking at to find out if this cancer drug is a major treatment? Will it stop symptons or just delay/manage them like the other drugs? I don't feel that any of the current treatments really do enough. HELP!by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Sorry to hear about it.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I guess I have to put in my two cents.... Can anyone tell me if any of these posts win for the longest post?by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Sandy, speaking from personal family experience, please keep in mind that you might think you have the same parents as your brother, but it might not actually be that way. I can't speak for your family, only my experience. I certainly don't mean to step on toes by saying this.by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center

So...silly question....where do I find them?by Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Lou...It is a story about a woman that lives near me in Nova Scotia. She had severe MS and didn't want to suffer any longer. As assisted suicide is illegal here, she went to Zurich to have a doctor assist in her suicide. Then a group called Canada's Euthanasia Prevention Council contacted the local RCMP and reported the incident. They are now investigating whether or not the husband helped heby Sally - Huntington's Disease Support Center
