So you have a wee little one ; and she has had some challenges ; your hormones are again readjusting ; You used to take Prozac , that now doesn't work ; you are concerned about HD and where you are health wise . I wish I could give you a hug . You have alot going on . If it was me , I would work at getting the meds for the depression first . Trudi may I ask what is it that is more challenging now ? Is it that time has gone on ; or are you experiencing symptoms ? All my best. dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I wish I had not spent as much time searching and reading and searching and reading.....about HD . I wish I had set aside a time period , an hour a day , or 3 hours a week something like that . Life stood still , i wish I hadn't allowed that . all my best. dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hi , welcome to the forum . There are some people with Huntington's Disease(pHD) that live very long lives . My Grandmother was 93 or 94 ; my Mom is still alive and is 81 and ahalf; I have had other relatives live into their 70's . But I would also had relatives who died at younger ages . All my best . dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
There are some people who should use caution when using the fish oils ; those who bleed easily or have bleeding in the gut etc... They do warn that it may thin the blood . All my best. dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I looked up Kalms after you mentioned it , and found it interesting . I noticed it said it was good for irritability . Did you notice if it helped in that respect ? The main ingredients were Valerian (sedative) gentian(muscle relaxant) hops powder . I do think you would have to watch out if you were taking an SSRI along with that . Hi , welcome to the forum . You are certainly in a very challenging situation . I wonder if the health care professionals you are relying on , will put in place someone for your son to express his anxieties to , if he does have HD or any other ailment . The teenage years are a roller-coaster ride for many teenagers already . So I might ask your health care professionals , what help they would havby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hi , welcome to the forum .I agree with many of the thoughts expressed to you already . One thought I always have when someone is new to Huntington's Disease , is "take your time , getting used to this new information" .( If you can). Anything new takes time . Your children are young , they need only simple age appropriate answers to any question or situation . Children just want to knby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
welcome to the forum . When I first learned about HD in my family , I thought I would test right away ,but , as time went on I changed my mind . At this time period it does not serve me , a good enough purpose , to do so . I remember my sibling saying , "You can't unring the bell' . One of the questions I asked myself was , Will my testing positive affect any others of my family in a negatby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I only like tests that I KNOW I am going to do well on . Many tests after 5 minutes make my head numb . Not literally but figuratively . So I am proud you did the test . I did a fields test for my eyes the other day , and that stressed me out . The DX. said I did well , but it still stressed me out . dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
welcome to the forum . I have been married 36 years .We waited 5 years before our first child. If it was me , I would not have children nor make any decision regarding children for at least 2 years . Settle into the marriage , see how you cope and he copes with day to day married life . Then decide . When making that decision , think of all the possible outcomes . welcome to the forum . I am sorry to hear about your Dad . I would like to mention that your Dad has proably been affected by HD for many , many years . If there were times when he was a good Dad , then , that was proably his true self .Something I have tried to do in difficult situations , is have a 'go to saying' all ready in my mind , that is noncommittal . For example ; ( That is such an impoby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Liz you have a lot going on in your life . I personnally could very easily feel overwhelmed if it was me dealing with all , that you are dealing with . I am sorry you are going through so much . I think it sounds like a real help for some pHD's . I think you were fortunate to have the group home so close for you . May I ask how do all of the group home occupants get along ? My best . dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Hi , welcome to the forum . May I ask how does your Mom find the group home ? and what is it like compared to a nursing home setting ? And how did you find that type of support ? All my best . dbby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Peter's comments didn't appear to me to be anything , but , helpful . I guess I felt he was talking outloud , to us , saying after all is said and done , it is the individual family that really only knows of all the circumstances involved with their families lives . That makes sence to me . Now Eric mentioned that no one posted after Peter's comments and he thought some more posts might be heby db - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Alice I have learned that I don't know for sure how I feel about this type of ? . There is something I might consider , if it was me .
