I know there is a scholarship fund for youth. I don't know if there is a scholsrship fund for families and I don't know how it works. I do think a fund for families would be good.by Paula B - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Carlaj, At our church, a group of men takes turns on Friday taking one of our members, who is disabled with Parkinson's, out to lunch. He and his wife both appreciate the break. My brother was initially diagnosed with benign familial chorea, since we did not know HD was in the family. This was in 1982. In 1984, he and my father were both diagnosed at an HD clinic by their involuntary movements. My brother had cognitiveby Paula B - Huntington's Disease Support Center
KAG I was away when you first posted. You received a lot of good advice. I advise you to re-read maahearna's posts a few times. I think her story of diagnosis and reaction to it and the time it took her to adjust to the diagnosis is very important to realize. Also, remember your girls need you now and you are healthy now. I'm sorry that you are feeling so down today. Remember that your children need you very much. You also need to find a counselor or therapist to talk to about the feelings you have been having. You could call your doctor and tell your doctor about the thoughts and feelings you've described here and your doctor could recommend a therapist or counselor.by Paula B - Huntington's Disease Support Center
