Thanks to all of you for my birthday wishes; kensantoso, I certainly understand all you are saying and infering about your mother. Where in China is she located? Just love her; I understand the different cultures. Apparenttly you are the family spokesman; that is good. Bobby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center

No, I guess not; my wife would. Perhaps it's a true desire to help. I am drawn to and talk with and visit with hd people in nursing homes...you are right..they/we are obvious...therein perhaps lies the key...we have the ability to recognize hd people, and there is an immediate kinship...bobby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Will, sorry I misspoke; I have always taken choline/inositol caps (not choline alone). Several grams of Vit C and 1-2k IU of E are of paramount importance to me/my body/mind and respiratory system. I don't take CoQ10 or creatine; have tried them for short periods. I take one or two gels of fish oil, a multivitamin, and extra Vit A, B, and calcium and zinc. For the most part I limit intake of satuby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Melissa, I just went through this with my brother - a days drive each way. He, however, had not progressed to the state of your mother. There is not anything you can do for your mother. She said goodbye long ago. Just says yours now; blow off your family's comments and attitude; and, enjoy the trip with your husband. Enjoy the reunion; pop in and out of the nursing home... Visit and leave...visby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Alice, I have sorta the opposite situation; my wife tells anyone and everyone I and our daughters have hd. Our symptoms are for the most part not noticeable. People I see around the area are quite surprised when they see my lack of 'symptoms'. Jimmy, you are so "right-on". Most NH late-stage hd residents still have many not readily ascertainable 'feelings' and mental capacity and loby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Teresa, you are doing remarkably well, no one is permanently up. It helps me when I make myself stop and look at the attire changing going on in nature right now. It also helps me when I visit and sing with residents at several nursing homes a month. Several residents are in latter stages of hd, and each is visually and verbally appreciative. Must be a beautiful changing season in your area. Iby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center

WILL, I have been taking a Choline Inositol mixture (not just choline alone), and that has worked well for me. I regret I did not state that. A couple of months back I switched to Lecithin, and that seems to work not quite as well. I plan to add inositol to the lecithin and see what happens. I have ageing or early hd signs; I still multi task ok, but I don't attach much importance to some tasks.by bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Zack, Bob netx sends: You ask about the contents of Waldusky's plan. In a few days I will be 71; have a CAG repetition of 40. May die today, but I am visually asymptomatic and have no physical problems. Am very active - still do hard labor (not by state edict). I have retired from the paid work force a couple of times (the last being in 96). I am 6 feet tall and maintain my weight at 170 lbs. Amby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Good Morning Mediaman and wife. Thank you very much for the time and effort you took in research and sharing your info. My name is Tommie. I am the wife of Bobolink. Sara, such a beautiful name - my sister's name and my granddaughter's as well. JL is correct; ignorance is not a condition that was acceptable in my decision making process concerning testing. Soon my age will be 71; I have a CAG repetition of 40 and am visually asymptomatic. You can delay onset with mental and physical exercise and food/diet supplements. Lost a lengthy response. Am nearly 71 with a CAG of 40 (Maggie - less than a month) For 24 years I have done grams of Vit C, Choline (now Lecithin) and other vitamins/supplements. OPINION vitamins and supplements. Antioxidants are keys. Pysical exercise is number one and mental exercise is nr 2. JL, you are of course correct in that you are not healthy. You do not believe as I do. It's also a matter of semantics. I have outlived my at-birth projected life span. It is relatively immaterial if I die tonight or next year. I am going to do something good for others tonight; it makes me feel good. Marsha said, "Every single one of us has mutated genes. Marsha, thank you for this well-expressed epistle. From time to time I need an attitude adjustment, but at this point I am in a going, doing, optimistic mode. Troopie, I strongly support your decision to live apart from your mother. Sounds like you are asymptomatic and that she may be using you. Your daughter is your prime responsibility (on a par with your happiness). Just because your mother tested positive eight years is not a factor in how well she is doing now. Is she saying she can not live alone? Is she a narcissist? Perhaps it's a control issuby bob netx - Huntington's Disease Support Center
