Our son who is 26 and has a CAG of 46 seems to be already showing symptoms What is your CAG or your person who has HD and what age did they start syptoms?

I?m sorry your son seems to be showing symptoms. There usually is an inverse relationship between the CAG number and age of onset. That being said, there are many other factors for age of onset that are being found. My husband is in his 60?s and is having the mental health changes (no physical signs such as chorea) although maybe some very slight changes with his driving (acceleration a bit choppy). My husband won?t see a doctor. I hope your son will see a doctor who specializes in HD. Maybe there will be some medication(s) that will help his symptoms. Maybe he will want to get in a study? Maybe a mental health therapist might help too? I just started to attend a support group, but now with Covid19 a lot of schedules are up in the air. Still, many doctors have a long waiting list so he should call now and get an appointment to see if there?s any help available for his symptoms.
My own son is at risk. He is still young and has other issues. I try not to think about him and HD. It?s a balance of not feeling unnecessary worry but also keeping eyes open for treatments and hopefully a cure some day. Good luck

Sorry, I do not have a response for the original poster and her son. However, I am in the same situation as your husband. mid 60's and having mild symptoms. I have been seeing specialists but at this point all they do is monitor my decline I guess until it gets to a more severe level. I pray for all with this dreaded disease. My CAG is 39.
