Not sure why exactly but things are much better between my ex and I. We increased his anxiety medicine a bit and I cut back to part time so I could balance life and caregiving. His assisted living has been great with him. I had him and his sister's family at my house for Thanksgiving (she has HD too) and had him over for Christmas eve and Christmas day with our kids. I see him a few times per week either going shopping or watching football together. He has also developed some relationships with men from church and is in a small group that meets once per week. He really wants to work so in the new year our goal is to find him some type of sheltered employment. Everyone needs to feel they have a purpose!
Just wanted to post some positive things for a change. I also will post my worries regarding our son but on a different post.
