I don't have a copy of that particular article but the research on trehalose is solid and consistent. I was particularly impressed that Psychogenics replicated the original mouse finding since we seldom get to see replicated research. I think trehalose is a good bet since it's a natural FDA approved sugar. It's used in baking when browning is not desired.
