Has anyone heard any negative reports about the dentist using laughing gas on HD patients?

I consulted with our dentist regarding laughing gas when we went the first time. it is apparantly short acting, with no long term effects at all. Nonetheless, we tried getting his cleaning done without it, and he was able to stay still for her, amazingly. A little Xanax beforehand helped.

I haven't heard of any negative reports, but like Patty, we have been able to make it through. May want to consider finding a special needs dentist. That is what we did. Like pediatric dentists, they have fine tuned skills on how to be quick, hygentists can use 2 suctions, etc.
