Thanks Liz. I felt I had no choice. I have a 26 yr old son that may want to have children. For me the not knowing out weighed the risk. Either way I would be the same person and as I went throught the months of the testing process I was very prepared for any result. In fact I was more prepared for a positive than a negative result. I didn't feel as jublilent as I thought. After all my mom still has it and there is no cure. But I do know because of my negative result I will be able to care for my mom when she needs it in the future.
