Roger Ebert quote
March 04, 2010 10:59AM
I have always been a fan of film critic Roger Ebert. In recent years, as many of you know, he has suffered from disfiguring facial cancer which has left him unable to speak. He appeared on Oprah this week and here's something he said in a statement his wife read for him.

"We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn't always know this, and am happy I lived long enough to find it out."

I grew up watching him and Gene Siskow (sp?). That is a great quote and really gets to the heart of what is the best of us...what makes us human.
