Hi everyone,

I've been reading all the info I can about creatine and how it can possibly slow doen the early progression of HD and just wondered how many of you take it and in what dose? Also, how long have you been taking it for and, more importantly, do you feel it has had any significant effect? Is it better to take it in combination with other supplements?

The Lighthouse has probably the best quick explanation and rationale for taking creatine. My son is 18 and takes it as a preventive measure. He takes 10 grams daily. He is not tested and at risk with no symptoms. The phase 2 trials of creatine showed improvement in two people with symptoms and the remaining 15 with slower progression or no change in symptoms. They are mid stage. They receive 20gram and higher depending on how they tolerate it on an individual level. Here is the lighthouse link:
