Well, my results are FINALLY in. My CAG was 17. WOOOHOOOOO!!!!! I'm not even at risk. I called my kids so fast that it was a wonder that I got the numbers right. LOL Doc wants me to come in for a complete work up and an appointment with a neurologist. He say's my symptoms could be a result of a severe vitamin defficiency. I'm already dangerously anemic (iron defficiency), but we'll see. I will definitely be coming to say hello and chat with all of you, as my struggles with my HD sisters continues, but thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being there for me. I love you for that!

That's fantastic! My HD-free brother has a CAG repeat of 17, as well. That must be a lucky number!

Wow!!! You have been on such an emotional roller coaster....and now this.

It's about time there was some good news...
(apart from your precious baby niece that is.)

It always gives us heart when we hear that someone who was sure they were positive, tests negative.....maybe that will be the case for our (as yet) untested loved ones.

I'm also relieved for your children...the sentence has been lifted.

I know that this is only good news for you and that life will always be difficult with HD affecting your sisters....but at least you can make plans now without HD clouding your own life.

Mary, I'm assuming the 17 was your highest CAG count. Did the doctor mention the number for your other copy of the huntingtin's protein gene?
