Hey db, We think it might have come through our Mom's side. Unfortunately, she left us when I was 7 years-old. I recently searched her name on the internet and found her on the social security death index. She committed suicide at age 55 because, according to her note, she couldn't stand living "this way" anymore. Our dad died at age 42 of liver cancer. He had no siblings. Jan - Hello to all. I'm 46 years old, Registered Nurse and Writer. I'm in the process of work up for HD. My sister, 43 years old, also a nurse, has the same symptoms and like myself was diagnosed with episodic ataxia-unknown variety. However after changing neurologists, I was told that I most likely have a disorder of the basal ganglia.
