I have expirienced this a lot... nothing I do is enough. Dawg is right... My husband was constantly creating fights with our girls over silly things... I usually just backed away when he tried with me. He is still "early" stage, but that has been a major early symptom. I'm so sorry. I agree with the suggestion to donate to a COE. I'm closest to UC Davis. They are working on a stem cell treatment. I believe that focused studies like that at COE's are a great place to donate. The reasearchers there often depend on outside donations to further their studies. I agree with Marsha. Unfortunately, soo many healthcare providers do not know about or are unfamiliar with HD. He does not sound like end stage to me. I think there is medicine out there to help with the aggression and the infection. A PICC line is not a bad thing if it means fighting infection or a means of giving him medicine. My husband & I were fortunate enough to get a scholarship too. He tested positive 2 yrs ago. I have done all the research. He hasn't been ready to face it til now. I'm really looking forward to it, but nervous too. I'm not sure how he will react to everything & everyone. His parents are going as well. His mom is mid-stage. I wish you were going Will.
