Well I see your trying has improved since last year. I understand the depression and struggles. Your husband and kids love you then and now. Your husband chose to be with you and your struggles. He is a caring and compassionate whose only purpose is to be there for his wife and kids. I know that you have an appt coming up for the clinic next month I think. Try and hold on until then.by Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Is this the same one that bullied your son too? Or a different one? We should sick Mitchell on her. Just kidding. I think the hardest thing is waiting for the school to get it right. Give the school one more chance then you have to do what ever necessary to keep them safe - physically and mentally. I am here. You know that. Love you Stacyby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center

It hurts me to see everyone suffering so much. I know the family and they have their hands full with both kids. I hate the fact that they have to wait so long to get Joshua in ti the clinic and then their going to have to wait again for the next appointment. I was hoping the hospital would do it and just get it done. I wish I could do more than just be a shoulder sometimes! Stacy-NJby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Welcome Back I think I am going through the same struggles - I have a CAG 44, my mom was 42 when she was symtpomatic and i will be 40 in December. I have not seen a neurologist or taken any other tests for several years. I have an appt coming up in June. I am extremely nervous about it. Terrified is more like it. I have 3 boys - one 20, then a 9 and a 6 year old. My husband is super suppby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
This is my 3rd conventions. The first one I went by myself. This year I am bringing my 20 year old son. The gala is a dressy event but not too. You will learn a ton and meet amazing great wonderful people all weekend long. I believe it is well worth the price. I would love to meet everyone from the board here who goes. I am in that position now. My 20 year old son just told me a couple of weeks ago that he is thinking of testing. That terrifies me. There have not been any negative results in my family for the last 2 generations. I do feel confident in that I know and like our team here at the NJ clinic. They know my son from previos issues. I told him when he was ready I would get him in touch with the coby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I am not sure what my moms repeat count was but my father passed away after an 11 week illness and she was just devastated. Spent some time in psych units after that. I believe that the trauma of losing my dad might have started the symptoms. She was symptomatic 1 year after my dad died. Stacy-NJby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Eric I am all for families helping families - I think Mrspatwolf has the general idea that you were mentioning. I would love to do more outreach and we have a fantastic center director to with with. Let me know what you have in mind. Stacy-NJby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Brett I have scheduled myself to go through those awful tests in June. It has been several years since I first took them and I feel like I am changing a bit. I am 39 with a CAG of 44. My mom was symptomatic at 42 so I am very worried. I work full time and carry the benefits for my family. I understand your frustration with those tests. I remember how hard they were when I took them and aby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
She makes changes to affect the population affected with HD in any way. We are starting a youth program, having share and care meetings, talks about some type of camps. They just upated their website. She tries to help any one who comes to her who ask for help. WE have gotten the advocacy group going and are getting involved. We are lucky here in NJ to have a fantistic Center Director for our local chapter. She has been here about 2 years and he made wonderful changes, lots of new programs. I do go to the support group when I can. I volunteer to help with events. I also sit on their advocacy committee. Over the years I have gotten more and more involved. I guess I would like to see more awareness of HD. I wby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I am not sure how much is the Lexapro and how much is it just being such an issue. Very stressful for me and he does not realize how much. I am also worried that it might be very early symptom. Stacy-NJby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
That is awesome - sign me up for the pre manifest testing!!!by Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
My husband and i are in this same predicament. I am gene positive but have no symptoms. I have depression and take Lexapro. I have lost my interest and he has not. We tried to change medication but that did not work so we will try one more time to change my meds in a couple of months. It has caused alot of stress and frustration on both our parts and we have not really figured out a way to hby Stacy-NJ - Huntington's Disease Support Center
