Incontinence doesn't signal that the end is near although it is common during the later stages of HD. It's hard for a person whose HD is advanced to completely eliminate urine because of uncoordinated muscles and also feedback about one's body can be impaired.
Incontinence can occur during earlier stages of HD but because it's not a typical symptom it should be reported to a doctor so he or she can check for other sources of the problem first.
