Hello Andy

It appears your message is somewhat incomplete. Am sorry to hear about the
trouble you are having contacting HD Help line in England. There is only one
place I know of in the UK that is a special home for HD patients and that is
the Frank Gardham House which is a 12-bed house for Huntington's Disease
patients located near Preston, Lancashire, in North West England. It is run by the
Guild Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

According to their web site, "Services include residential and palliative care, respite
and day care, assessment and outreach services, together with genetic counselling in
conjunction with the University of Manchester's Department of Medical Genetics."

Their web site includes information about the NHS Trust and the Frank Gardham House
as well as some general information about Huntington's Disease. Their URL is:

Perhaps if you looked them up and gave them a call they could help you a little faster
than waiting for the help line person to return from holiday!!

HD that is Huntington’s disease affects the muscle coordination. This disease not as common as dementia, but HD leads to dementia. It is common in Western Europe. The basic factor by which this disease takes place is copy of gene that is called Huntingtin.
