Can MRI/brain imaging help to determine if person is symptomatic? - 7 years ago
I recently tested positive for HD with 39 CAG repeats. I am 34 years old. My family just found out that HD runs in my family. My uncle, dad and I (so far) have the mutation. Even before we knew HD runs in our family I had started experiencing issues with my memory and along with some other cognitive issues. I wanted to know if someone with 36-39 repeats could ever develop symptoms in their 30s? I recently tested positive with 39 repeats. I am 34 years old and have felt a little "off" for the past year or so (before we even knew HD was in my family). Hi All: I recently found out that I have the HD gene mutation, I am in the reduced penetrance area with 39 repeats. I have been trying to conceive so I spoke with my doctor about the testing available should I be able to conceive without IVF. I was a little confused about part of what he told me, so I wanted to see if anyone here has dealt with this. Hi All! I am new to this group and trying to adjust to a life with Huntingtons disease. Towards the beginning of the year was when my family first learned about HD. My uncle was diagnosed with 42 repeats. My dad then went through the testing and tested positive with 41 repeats. I just received my results yesterday and wanted some input.
