A good friend in the medical field sent me a ling to this. Sounds promising. My copy paste of the ling may not be correct but you can google Emory and Crispr studyby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Thanks Barb. I hope she is doing O.K. I will catch up with you soon. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
I watched it tonight. It is amazing. Personally, I have issues with marijuana and other drugs. Don't bash me, as I said, personally. After watching the video, I will drink a pint! As soon I saw him answer the door, I thought he had HD. Although I am not at the point he is, it is pretty damn amazing. A friend I worked with sent this to me. It is unbelievable. Hello Lisa. It's been a long time since I posted but your post was of particular interest. Like Barb, I am 59 and in the reduced penetrance range with a CAG of 36. I became symptomatic around 52. This range seems so unpredictable even to the point I have heard neurologist say it's almost impossible to be symptomatic. Needless to say, I don't see them. Barb is correct about all of the test theyby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hello Patty. So sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for being a good caregiver and continuing to contribute to the HD community with your life and educational experience. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Both of you, hang in there. I am not in the place Donnie is. Yet I can understand; possibly from his perspective some of the things you describe. Everything needs to be slower. In a setting with a lot of input, interpretation gets very difficult and you just want to withdraw. This may not be the case for you guys but my opinion is two cents worth. Good luck, Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Wow Mindy. That's a lot on anyone. I don't know how to say it any better than Will did and he's a champ. Hang in there and I believe you will know when the time is right to test. It's tough when you feel the need to be there for everyone except yourself but you are needed and things will get better. It's has to be overwhelming. Keep up the talk therapy. I believe in it. Keep us posted.by mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
That is a wonderful article Kelly, as all of your articles are. Thanks for continuing your post. I learned something from the article and understand how some of the things you wrote about affect us and me. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I started with movement. It is still there but maybe not as bad? Other issues have increased and some decreased. A spinning world is with me for the duration I guess. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
That is great to hear! Tell Donnie, from a neighbor, I'm glad he had a great time with his family. Mikeeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Go and enjoy. I know getting out of your comfort zone isn't easy sometime. Try to enjoy and put aside your fears for now until you have a problem then you can work around it. Donnie will certainly enjoy some part of the trip as will you guys. Have a great time. By the way. What is a dream coordinator Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center

Thanks for the reply. I just don't feel like it's IBS but I probably won't change a physicians mind. This seems to come in cycles and like IBS stress doesn't help. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hello, Pal. I have some chorea but I believe it is brought on by stress more than anything. More of my problems would be similar to Donnie whereas I have cognitive problems, fatigue and balance issues. Hope this is of some help. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hello all, I haven't posted much lately but I'm still here. I was wondering if there is any relationship between HD and IBS. It seems that when you get down to it, you always wonder if HD could be connected. So much is not known. I haven't spoken with my Neuro yet but will in the coming months. Any information will be appreciated. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Absolutely wonderful idea. The young people looked happy. The ones that created the experience are a special breed. Thanks for sharing. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Sorry to hear the news. Try to stay positive. It's difficult for certain but having a good attitude goes a long way in my opinion. How is your Father doing? Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center

I am so sorry to hear of your sad situation. If I can share a little for what it's worth. I am the first in our family with a cag of 36. Became symptomatic in my early 50's. That was about 5 years ago. My oldest son and his wife knew there were risk before his wife became pregnant. During this time they were referred for genetic counselling and got a better understanding and according tby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
It's been a while since I saw the article. Try google. There are still some articles (some scholarly but access is limited). Due to other complications/issues there wasn't time to discuss the connection with my Neurologist. Mikeby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
Hello Kathleen, You mentioned you have been boarded from work. Does that mean you had to leave? I am assuming so. I am certainly not an expert but here are a couple of things which you may have already considered. Consider your medication. Maybe it's a side effect of something. If you left work (as I did) you may have become more sedentary due to the HD. Have you stopped other aby mikee - Huntington's Disease Support Center
